Clutching his bedsheets, he squeezes the non-exhistent life out of them and tugs with all of his might. He's been in various rehabilitation centres for three months now, thriving to make it out alright. He's dying to stay alive, he's hoping to think properly and live normal again. The addiction is hard to overcome, he's still not quite sober. He knows that if he leaves this building tomorrow, he'll get back on his drug habit and be in even worse shape and condition before. He knows he still has a few months to go until he's pure. He's a long way to recovery, he still doesn't feel normal yet.
Rising to his knees, he pulls the sheets off of the bed and throws them across the room. He walks to the window, looking out of it, then tries to rattle the bars that are behind the glass on the outside, held in place with thick metal bolts. He can't escape from sanctuary to go to Hell, even if he wanted to. He's in here for as long as he needs to and although he wants freedom, he wants to be himself again.
Grinding his teeth, he fights off the addiction as he fights of his enamel with his teeth. It's hard and difficult, people should understand that he's determined to make it out. He wants to be free, he wants to himself again. But that person from two years ago, even one year ago, is long gone and will never be back. He's a new human being that's fighting and hurting.
"It hurts... it hurts..."
