"So I walked right up to him, twisted his nipple in a clockwise direction with a slow pull towards me and then called him a nutsac."
We open up with Chris Tougher, Johnny Fame and the APW interviewer, Donnie Askin.
"Why do you want to become the APW United States champion, Chris?"
"Why do I want to become the United States champion? Well Donnie, that question is very simple to answer, to be honest; I have never been the top wrestler of any wrestling federation in my life. For my next step in my career to be on the APW mountain, its pinnacle to be exact, would be a great feeling and something extraordinary for me. I've never accomplished anything major, I won't hold that back. But that year of embarassment I just recently faced will be forgotten when I reign at the top of American Pro Wrestling with the United States championship, a title belt that a whole load of other superstars are fighting for here within the company. There are dozens of them, Donnie, it's crazy how you have to compete against them, but you know that it can be done. I know that it can be done and there is another thing that I know: the United States championship can and will be mine."
"If you were offered a shot at the title right now, would you accept it?"
"I don't see why I wouldn't, Donnie. Besides, that's a mega lame question to ask. If any kind of title shot was offered my way, I wouldn't hesitate to accept it. If it's offered my way, then instantly, I will accept it without thinking it through. I don't care who my opponent would be, what kind of match we would be wrestling in and what is at risk; a title shot is a title shot, they don't come towards you every single day. In my opinion, you shouldn't care about the size or the abilities of the other wrestler; you always have the odds to beat them and walk out of that event with the victory and even better, the championship around your waist. So if guys like Cryse Treborn, Damien Bloodthorn, James McKnight, Jeremy Pain, John Hamilton, Southpaw and Tim Torn want to get in my way to the United States champioship, then I'll welcome them with an enclosed fist ready to punch them out, because I'm going to fight my way to that title, even if it means punching my friend, Johnny Fame, in the nuts."
"You wouldn't do that, would you?"
"Yeah."
"For real?"
"For real."
"Sigh."
"Are there any wrestlers in particular that you would like to wrestle against with the United States championship on the line?"
"I honestly don't care who my opponent would be for the title, as long as it is somebody who is capable of defeating me in the ring. But if there's one that would be a good wrestler to defeat considering his reputation in this company, it would be Jacob Greene. His match last week against Tim Torn was simply amazing and shocking at the same time, he's just one of those wrestlers with a size that has so much skill and talent within. He's not just muscle, he's not just strong. He's that rare breed of superstars, to be quite frank. I was amazed that he was able to do as much as he could against Tim Torn last week with ease, he didn't look like that boring and common heavyweight guy who only kicks, punches, clotheslines and powerbombs until he is able to defeat the person with the three count. Although he's got the personality of a child, Jacob definitely doesn't have the thought of one. He knows how to dismantle a wrestler in a slow, but effective, way. He was able to keep Tim Torn grounded in their match, keeping him on his feet instead of in the air. He would be a huge competition to me if I were to face him in the future for the United States championship."
"What about Cryse Treborn, how would he be in the lines of competition?"
"Like Jacob, he would be a great athlete to go up against. Me and Cryse have a lot of similarities in the wrestling ring, we both have our fair share of technical, speedy, submission, impactful and brawling moves. Both of us are well-rounded, we're both hybrid in style, and we should both be proud of our talent and honored to wrestle the man in the other corner. Last week Cryse was a fresh talent to me and I enjoyed going up against him, to witness what it was like to go up against him was entertaining and freightening at the same time. He's got mad skills in the ring, I'll be looking forward to wrestling the guy on a singles one-on-one match in the future sometime, I feel that he deserves to. That tag team match didn't prove a thing between him and I, I truely want to see the best out of Cryse Treborn, I know that he can put on a good match against me if we're booked at the right time and the right place, not at the wrong time and wrong place like last week."
"What if management made you go up against Johnny for the United States championship?"
"Although it would suck to go up against a friend since it could alter our friendship, it is a match that I would be looking forward to. When I came here to American Pro Wrestling, I imagined many epic battles that I could go wrestle in here on the cards and events. One of the first matches that I thought of was a dream match, I guess you could say and that match was Chris Tougher versus Johnny Fame in the main-event. It looks good on paper, indeed, and I'm sure that it would be ten times as better to see on the television. The greatest wrestling matches are often between two friends, themselves. Although I'm not going to say that mine and Johnny's match will exactly be better than every other match I wrestled in prior to that match, but it would be one of those matches that are right up there as a possible candidate to be the match of my career."
"Thank you for your time, Chris Tougher and Johnny Fame. We'll be looking forward to seeing you on Dangerzone this week."
