We open up backstage with Dave Simms, BWA commentator. But it looks as if he’s going to be interviewing Null and Void at the moment, just because the actual interviewer’s name is so hard to remember and that we’re too lazy to even find it. Besides, it’s probably some super-lame name like Matty Taylor or Nic Gentner. But what can you do? Well, there’s one thing that’s acceptable and that is find a replacement. Null and Void have done exactly that and found a suitable replacement for the interviewer. So here they are with Dave Simms.
Dave Simms; “Null and Void, your last match in British Wrestling Alliance was well over a year ago and ironically, you guys were wrestling against Johnny Legend and Nic E Dangerously. Now you two have returned to the federation to face off against the exact same guys you last wrestled and this time you have an opportunity to get your revenge as a duo. There may be a little twist in this match, however, but it is still a match worth watching. BWA dot com has a poll up on the website and it involves Serenity and your match-up. It’s in the fans’ power to choose her fate in this match and that is either team up with you guys, team up with Legend and NED, or serve as the special-guest referee. The poll is currently tied, having her be your guys’ partner and be the referee. The deadline isn’t much further away, but things for you two are looking good. What are your thoughts on this match, if I must ask?”
Null; “I’ll answer that question, Dave. My thoughts are ecstatic, I’m ready to finally wrestle again here in the British Wrestling Alliance, the wrestling federation that got me and Void a reputation that was beyond anything we had ever imagined. To make things even better for us, we’re glad to be wrestling against Johnny and Nic tonight. Why is that? We have a chance for redemption, a chance for revenge. Last years loss was something that hurt us within, our spark as a tag team looked to be fading away after that. But our motivation started to boost up a bit as time went on. We had a one-week stint in Wrestling 2000 last summer, but we were a bit distracted with AJ’s Bulbasaur, as some people saw. Then we moved onto an independent wrestling federation known as Michigan State Wrestling. Yeah, some of the wrestler’s here have had a small run there, but that was just about it. Void and I still wrestle there, I’m glad to say that much. That was the federation that got us back into the sport of wrestling. Then when we received news about BWA’s revival, we wanted to come back. We wanted to settle the score and even things out and then put us back on the map. The people and the fans know who we are. We’re the Chang Gang, the Changs of China, the Asian Mafia, Cheech and Chang and now we’re known as the Family Changs.
“So we might be looked and considered as gimmick wrestlers, trying to get over with what is over in today’s society, but no, that’s not the case. We don’t need a gimmick to be considered talented or popular; we don’t need any bling-bling, fast cars, nice suits, illegal drugs or flashbacks to be big stars. We just use them because they’re things that we’re comfortable with. Now whether or not Johnny Legend and Nic E Dangerously want to rip on us for being ‘lame’, that’s up to them. I’m not going to hold them back, I actually encourage them to say their piece and speak their minds. The only problem is that as soon as they’re finished, expect us to rip them apart and shit those words down their throat.”
Dave Simms; “Well, it’s good to see that you’ve got that off of your chest, Null. Now Void, I’m going to ask you a question that I’ve been wanting to ask you guys. Now that British Wrestling Alliance is going to be coming back in a strong fashion, there’s definitely going to be a lot of things that will be done differently in the next few weeks or even months. As a tag team, you guys claim that you have gotten a revitalized attitude towards the wrestling industry. So with that new energy going through your veins and keeping you two focused on your goal, what’s something that you’re going to do differently from now on?”
Void; “I’m not sure about Null, but I intend on becoming a more serious wrestler. The jokes are over, I would say. People might not think that’s possible from two guys like us, but we can get rid of jokes and throw away the amusement as much as we can toss these people out of the ring. I’m not trying to be funny, either, Dave. We’re professional wrestlers, you know, we have the strength and we have the power to practically do what we want to. I’m not saying that we’re rebels, anarchists or anything of the like. What I’m saying is that in the ring, if we want to go from the top-rope, we will. If we want to wrestle with loads of submissions on the canvas, we will. If we want to lift our opponent up with our own two arms and throw them around like a rag doll, we will. You can’t deny our strength, you can’t deny our determination. We’re just as serious as anybody out there, but people laugh at us because of our size. But because of our height, our weight and where we hail from… the fellow superstars… they decide to take us as jokes. We’re not jokes, people. We’re human, we’re wrestlers. We have intentions on making it big here in this wrestling federation, we have intentions on going far. To World Title status is something that seems crazy to you people, but Null and I know that it can be done. We know that it’s possible.
“With the proper preparation and the right training, we could be the biggest tag team on the scene. Tag Teams from the past such as the Legion of Doom, Demolition, New Age Outlaws and Harlem Heat will soon have nothing to compare with us. They might have held Tag Team titles in all wrestling federations, they might have had the longest title reign, they might have had the best title reign or they might have had the most title reigns but we have potential to overwhelm that and then some. Our goals are still incomplete and that’s a good thing, we set ourselves some possible goals to accomplish and in time we will do exactly that. We’re already two-time British Wrestling Alliance Tag Team Champions, that’s something that very few in this company have done. Actually, there was only tag team to have ever done that and they were Heather Wallace and Mitchell. Are they a tag team today? No, they aren’t. Fact, they haven’t teamed in over a year. Null and I last teamed up the other week. We’re still wrestling; we still know the ropes as a duo. Nobody else in BWA does, so that’s saying something.”
Dave Simms; “Apparently you’re saying that this federation isn’t one too good with keeping tag teams together and although that may not really matter, it seems to be true in a way. But you must remember that this federation hasn’t been open for ten or so months since closing down back in September of two-thousand and six. But congratulations on keeping together as a group, you guys have been a unit for so long that it seems as if nothing will separate you two. No adhesive required, Null and Void have been a solid tag-team for almost two years.
“If you two manage to beat Johnny Legend and Nic E Dangerously this weekend at BWA’s one-off show, what are your future endeavors from here? Would you both be wishing to wrestle for the Tag Team titles and capture them for the third time in your wrestling career, or would you both be intending to go for singles titles? After what I’ve heard, it seems like you two would be hoping to revamp the Tag Team division into something else and even put meaning into the titles. Is that correct?”
Null; “You hit the nail right on the head, Dave. Void and I will be heading straight for those titles as soon as our duel with the odd couple is finished. Those titles have been our main focus since day one and although we have held them for quite some time, we’re still not ready to part with them. The two of us aren’t the greedy type, we don’t want to keep moving up the ladder and eventually break as a team to get our childhood dreams. We’re doing what is necessary; we’re doing what is required. This federation needs to improve their tag team division, so we, the saviors, have arrived as a godsend from Heaven. It’s doubtful that Nic and Johnny are intimidated by the two of us, because they aren’t that type to really be afraid of what is smaller than them. But that’s all right, we’re not mad at that fact. We’re not angry at all, because what’s the point? We’re still a better tag team than them; we’ve held the belts and were able to cooperate without a problem in our run. Johnny and Nic, however, they’re having a troubling rapport. That has been going on-and-off for over a year now and it’s simply amazing how they’re still together. But as time continues, their so-called friendship will not. It’s common sense; those guys won’t make it another year as a duo. How they managed to make a team in the first place, that’s beyond me. But that’s not something I care about; I only care about kicking their asses with Void.
“It’s been a long time coming.”
Dave Simms; “Would you say that the both of you are the best tag team in British Wrestling Alliance history? At the moment? In the past? If any of them, enlighten me on why you would think so. Although some of the reasons are clear and apparent, there are some who would like to hear you explain.”
Null; “I wouldn’t say that we were the best tag team in BWA history, because that there is something that I wouldn’t even joke about. Void and I were a good team back in the day, that’s something that you can’t even deny, Dave. At the moment, I’d say that we’re roughly the best tag team in British Wrestling Alliance. I say roughly because I’m not sure which tag teams are currently in the federation. In the past, I don’t think that we were the best. There were a hell of a lot better tag teams than us such as Benjamin Stephens and James Tsunami. The only problem that they had as a team was not being able to wrestle for the tag team titles. Just because two might have held the tag team titles five times meanwhile two others never held them at all does not mean that they aren’t any better than them. They could very well be the best tag team around and in the company. They just never had the chance, perhaps both had different motives in the federation that had to be fulfilled first as in Benjamin’s and James’ case. Ben was the top-dog in BWA; he fought in the main-event matches and tried to get the title back after losing it. James also had problems such as Marcus Williams holding him back with petty squabbles and fights that kept him sidetracked for over half of his BWA career. If James and Ben had a chance to hold those titles in their prime, Void and I would have been swept into oblivion by the two of them. I don’t say that to sound respectful, it’s because it’s the truth. Ben had perhaps one of the best World Heavyweight title reigns in BWA while James had perhaps one of the best Television title reigns in BWA.
“However, just because we weren’t the best in the past or anything like that doesn’t mean that we’ll be trying our hardest to turn that around in the future. We have a lot of aspirations from here on and many of them are things that we haven’t even thought of before. Are we original thinkers with probable goals? I’d like to believe so, but other people might think otherwise.”
Dave Simms; “Regarding your opponents, Johnny Legend and Nic E Dangerously, those two have been trying to do their best to maintain their tag team status for whatever reason they have. You two believe that because of their inability to cooperate, it will lead to their downfall this week at BWA’s one-off show. I don’t even need to ask why you think that is so, because we all know why. I have a question on Nic E Dangerously. How do you look at him as a wrestler and a superstar? Are you glad that he’s here in BWA and if so, why is that?”
Void; “When I look at Nic E Dangerously, I think of perhaps one of the best well-rounded superstars that this wrestling circuit has to offer. His array of chain-moves and variations of holds make him one of the most intimidating people around, he’s got what it takes to be the monarch of this company. Am I glad that he’s here in British Wrestling Alliance? I would be proud to say that I am glad that he’s here. A lot of guys can learn from his wrestling abilities and that will certainly change the way people wrestle around here. With new things that we could pick up from the guy, it can shape up the division and all else.
“He’s been wrestling for a decade and now that British Wrestling Alliance has him here, rookies can learn so much from the guy. When you look at guys that come here from now on, they’ll have so many of Nic’s moves in their list that you would think they are a carbon-copy of him, but really they’re a student of his profession. I think that’s the main reason as to why Johnny’s been his partner for the past year, he’s trying to learn things from Nic without looking like a total idiot in the ring. But unfortunately, he’s already been seen as a total idiot out of the ring.”
Dave Simms; “About Johnny Legend, he seems to be one of those types who aren’t really all that bright when it comes to common sense or just life itself. He thinks that his wrestling career depends all on the care of his hair and about how many women that he’s able to score in the span of a week. What are your opinions on him?”
Null; “I think that he’s just a total fucking dumbass. How he got into this wrestling sport is beyond me, but I’m guessing that he was believed to be a woman at first by Marcus since the ladies are usually hired without any talent observations. If he was hired as a part of BWA by Marcus or other management, I would assume that it was not for talent. Whatever that reason, I’m sure that we’ll never now. But that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be in this company. He’s good for something.
“Whatever that something is, I have not a clue.”
Dave Simms; “I agree with you, Null. I’m going to bring this interview to an end by thanking you guys for spending your time here with me today, the unofficial interviewer for British Wrestling Alliance. I’m one of this federation’s new commentators, so I’ll be looking forward to calling your match as you wrestle both Nic E Dangerously and Johnny Legend this week.
Good luck to the both of you, Null and Void.”
