I guess that there are some weeks in the professional wrestling industry that when you're pumped and ready for action, your opponent is feeling quite the opposite. Maybe William is faking sick because he knows his ass is ready for a beating in the ring, or maybe he's in hiding and trying to tunnel his way out of this one. Either way, if William has the guts to show up at Conflict, Jesse is going to do the obvious. Should I even explain for the confused, or should I just leave it at that? To save you some time from listening, I'll skip it and let you imagine the most awesome wrestling match that will never be where Jesse comes out as the winner.
It's a sad day when you know the man on the other side of the ring isn't going to give it his all, then it makes you wonder if you should just pack your shit and leave for the week. I mean, what's the point in showing up to an event if the wrestler who claims that he can put on the greatest show against you doesn't even give a half-assed attempt against you? The only reason that Mercy is really coming to Conflict is just to get his pay and then have a nice week, then repeat the process in another week or two like he has been doing for so long now. Go on, ask James if you know what I mean. You see, Mercy doesn't do jack anymore. The razorblade has gone dull and he can't even cut soft butter.
Everything has changed inside and outside of Mercy. Those fierce eyes are now bloodshot with stress and a lack of sleep. His arms are more used to fishing, opening refrigerators, scratching his ass and opening beer-cans than knocking people's teeth out, punching their head in and throwing a fellow superstar across the ring. He's changed and not for the better. But Jesse, as you all know, is now determined to bring the old William Rodney Mercy back. Revive what people think is dead and put some life intot he man. It might be a long-shot for some people, but Jesse knows he can do it... he BELIEVES he can.
"Ah, who am I kidding? He's lost all motivation. Eff him."
And we all lost hope.
