Another win for Jesse, things are looking very prosperous for him in the wrestling world so far. People once believed that he could never make it as far as being a right-hand man for a wrestler who was trying to win the World Championship, he's proving them wrong by the week as he overcomes the challenges that are proposed to him. From being booked against Georgia James in a wrestling match, Jesse managed to defeat her, then also go on to beat Richard Mercy and even William Rodney Mercy two weeks later. Although he only had a five-minute match with Mercy, he still came out as the winner and is going to be moving onto the pay per view against him where he could possibly win if this keeps up.
Jesse said it before 2008 had even begun: he will be FWA's Happy New Year. With intentions of becoming this federation's biggest superstar of 2008, Jesse is going to do whatever he can to make sure that is true. He's going to have a difficult time doing that, though, but nobody said that it was going to be easy. With the likes of Georgia James in Jesse's past and William Rodney Mercy about to be there, too, Jesse has to look towards the future and fight for what is in front of him. Conflict gives him the greatest opportunity of his career and that is a match against both James Tsunami and Superstar Joe, both of whom he has heard stories about from his mentor. He knows the two have bad blood with the Feature Presentation and so he shouldn't be surprised if they wrestle him like they would Davidson.
Both of his opponents are former British Wrestling Alliance World Champions, so he has that intimidation factor in the match. While he hasn't accomplished something as great as that, he still beat former World champions from various wrestling companies, so he's going in there with great experience and a good motive to continue this streak. If he is able to beat either James or Joe this week, a future Television title shot is his. And the holder of the Television title? None other than Seifer. We should all be knowledgeable of what he has done, should we not? Multiple title reigns in W2K, PWT and BUD, he could very well be the biggest challenge that Jesse could have in his entire career. While the other wrestlers he went up against should put fear in just about anybody, they really can't equate to how much Seifer can put in one. He's held the World title multiple times in the federations he was at, so he won't be an easy task for anybody.
"People would normally burst under this kind of pressure, but me? No, I'm not that kind of guy who would. When pressure is put on me, I try me best to push it off with all my strength. Sometimes it will work, like it has in the past month, and sometimes it will fail and push me down into the ground, letting it eat me up like quicksand. Taking on a superstar one by one is no easy task, you should all understand that. Going up against Mercy on Conflict was strenuous, even if it was for five minutes. The pay per view will be much more difficult, but I know tht I can do it and even beat him with everything that I have inside of me. I have heart, soul and passion; something that a lot of wrestlers these days are lacking. I have the drive to go further, I have the motivation and I can rise to the occasion. People may doubt me and see me as a rookie... but even the underdog wins at times. People were laughing at me back in 2007 when I was talking shit and slurring my speaches, but look at me now - I have transformed for the better. You can't laugh at how much I'm succeeding now, can you? There's nothing to joke about, there will be no more ribs. Why? Because those ribs will be broken. So don't be surprised if you hear a crack when you're dropped on your back."
He's not only having a taste of success, but he's also having a touch of arrogance. A lot of wrestlers go through this kind of stage when they're climbing to the top, early or late, in their career. For Jesse, it's early, and he's showing how glad he is at the moment. A few 'threats' might come off as a joke to him, but others may take it seriously and even argue with him about it. Either way, hopefully they understand.
"James Tsunami. I know about your career, I've had to hear from Davidson before his matches against you at times. From British Wrestling Alliance, Fans Wrestling Alliance, American Pro-Wrestling and back here, you two don't exactly get along the best like some people would. He has injured your neck a couple of years ago and even killed your child while it was in the womb; there's no way that you can forgive him, even if he saved your life. He took a lot away from you, maybe even took a decade away from your wrestling career. You probably might take some of that inner rage out on me, I don't really know; but I'm a different person, inside and outside. Unlike him, I respect you and what you did for the wrestling industry. You're one of the many people who built the foundations for some companies that had some stars created there. You're one of the many people who kept those companies rolling when they had very few wrestlers that had confidence put into. I can't put personal things into this match; not you or anybody else. I'm going into this match as a wrestler, so all personal differences and issues... if we have any... are put aside. In this match, I don't want your blood or Joe's blood - I want the contendership to the Television championship. And since I have to go through you two to get that, I'll do what I have to, as long as it is legal in the wrestling world. I hope you can respect that."
Tsunami should understand what Jesse is talking about. Personal differences and friendships are usually put aside in his matches. His match versus Benjamin Stephens in 2005 was an example of this where they forgot about their friendship for one night only, just to wrestle one of the greatest matches that the company has ever seen. Not all personal differences are friendships, some are even about a bad history between some. Jesse may have some with James, it's really unknown. It all depends on if James puts him in the same boat as the Feature Presentation.
"Superstar Joe. One of the most famous wrestlers to come from the BWA and FWA. You're one of the few wrestlers who can say they've won both the British Wrestling Alliance and Fans Wrestling Alliance titles in their career. Basically, you are the definition of the MSN:WA chapter and its history. You've rose to the top in both places and made your mark, yet it's something you're still doing to this day. If you don't respect me yet, so be it, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. But you've earned my respect, and I hope you are aware of that. Like James, you built foundations and stopped them from crumbling. It's easy to make a house, but to keep it protected from all kinds of dangers is hard to do. Anybody who did something of the likes has earned my respect, you and James both. Hearing about you, I know many things that I have to watch out for in the ring. You're not going to be an easy task, that's for sure. Am I intimidated? Slightly, yes. Am I feeling a bit cocky? I have to admit, I am. How can I not? I've overcome big challenges in the ring, Joe - it's hard not to feel like this. It's like I'm unstoppable, but this arrogance might get the better of me, yet. Hopefully that isn't so. I can't wait to finally face you two on Conflict; maybe I'll win, maybe I'll lose. Who knows, but we'll find out."
Fade.
