Now touring around the globe more often than before, Fans Wrestling Alliance has already arrived to Jacksonville, Florida where Conflict is going to be aired live this week. Jesse isn't too fond of Florida for some weird reason, he's just not too keen on being in the state where the popular television shows Cops is based in. I mean, it's weird - you could be in the middle of the scene where somebody is pulled over and arrested for drugs. The cameras could very well be used for busting Jesse for drugs! OH NO~! Nah, not really.
Jesse James walks out of the arena and heads to the parking lot to go to his car. As he opens the trunk and throws his bags in the back, he closes it up and spots the cameras waiting and looking around. Snapping his fingers to grab their attention, they walk over to him since he seems ready for the camera.
"Let me start things off by saying congratulations. Joe is now on his way and ready to face off against Seifer for the Fans Wrestling Alliance Television title, possibly to add to the lack of excitement going on in there at the moment. I'm not bitter about the loss at all, because to me it makes sense. If I had won, which is what I was hoping, I would have to deal with two problems at one time - William Rodney Mercy being the obvious first, and the Television title being the immediate second. So while Joe goes and tries to climb over a mountain that is new to him, I have to try my best to jump over this hurdle that is William Rodney Mercy - luckily, that hurdle is only three inches high, so it only requires a mere baby-step. It's not that hard to do, so expect me to do it more than once. It seems that not only a week after voicing his unhappiness and frustrations with Fans Wrestling Alliance, William Rodney Mercy is being booked against our current commentator Tony - and get this: Tony's job is on the line. How low is Will's self-esteem that he needs to be booked against people that have no hope in the wrestling ring, and why in the Hell is their job on the line, too? Are these the kind of matches that William wants to wrestle to get the respect he deserves from FWA management and the fans who watch this product? Maybe FWA is begging for him to leave the federation already, or giving him the week off by making him go up against somebody who won't be a challenge or talk smack throughout the week leading up to the match. It's something to laugh and shake your head about. The Rodstah wants respect and he gets a match against a commentator. I just lost a contendership match and I am given a one-on-one bout against the Television champion while the contender serves as a referee when the belt isn't even a concern of mine anymore. What a load of shitty booking. Can't you tell we're in Florida? You know you're close to Orlando, when."
And Orlando is resident to which wrestling promotion that makes no sense whatsoever? TNA, of course.
"Seifer is my opponent of the week. Would I be able to topple over him, or will my momentum be broken into a few more shards of glass like last week? The pieces could multiply before my eyes, or I could repair them with my aching hands. I would like to think that I could pick up the pieces and fix everything, but I don't think that's the case. My loss last week was a motive-blow, to be honest, but I can't let that get the best of me. It was a good match, and even though I was going in there as the one to be feared, I still came out on top as the loser. The outcome came as no surprise, Joe is a wrestler that you know will win against just about anybody imaginable. I'm still a rookie, I can't pretend to be better than the best - it's absurd to do so. But then that could bring up the question - "Why do you pretend that you're better than William Rodney Mercy?". The truth is, I don't pretend that I'm better. I know that I am. To be better than somebody else doesn't mean you need to have all the right skills and the necessary talents; you need the proper behaviour, the right amount of heart and soul when it comes to this sport. William could have been better than me years ago, but now he's just half the man he used to be. The ring-presence that he used to have is now shot and gone out of sight. Why doesn't anybody fear him? Because he doesn't act like he should be feared. Instead he's off looking like a damn ignorant fool, bitching about the most ridiculous things that you could think of. A guy who used to be a role model to young wrestlers is now just a man who is laughed at from Michigan to Texas to Ohio and to Florida. When Christian Michaels steps foot in the FWA ring to go up against Mercy in San Antonio, it's claimed to be one of the biggest matches to happen in San Antonio. Let's see about that, shall we? Not only because other people in San Antonio will want to have Mercy's and Michaels' blood by trying to out-perform them elsewhere in the city, but because Mercy won't give it his all. Nothing much is expected from him anymore."
There could be some wrestling federation disputes and wars going on in San Antonio when the time arrives. William Rodney Mercy and Christian Michaels in San Antonio, a place that doesn't really take kindly to them anymore. It could be ratings, or it could be a blood-bath. Either way, it won't be ignored.
"The Conflict page asks if I have what it takes to defeat Seifer in a match that probably could have been for the Television title - so that gets me wondering. I really don't know if I can defeat Seifer. Like I said the other week, when I was looking at his past history, I felt doubtful on myself if a Seifer versus Jesse James Miller match ever happened. Looks like that match was going to happen for me anyways, win or lose. I'm grateful that I'm having the chance to go up against him while he's at his peak here in FWA, because imagine if I were to go up against him when he's not at the highest point in his FWA tenure. If Joe were to be an unfair referee in the match, it wouldn't make the slightest difference. Seifer could probably kick my ass without Joe's unfairness taking part. I mean, seriously, a guy like me doesn't stand much of a chance against a guy like Seifer. It's a no brainer on who will win Conflict's match. But eh, I'll give it my best shot. It won't hurt to give it 110%, especially when a rare opportunity like this is presented to you. All that I can hope for is to come out as the victor. Last week's loss won't slow me down any, I plan to climb higher to the top. Nobody said that it was going to be easy, I've seen people who fallen down further than me and they still had a good amount of success. This sport can relate to hopscotch; you get so far, find a difficult number to reach, then when you fall your knees get scraped. Solution? Start over, watch your feet and keep your balance... DON'T TRIP - then when you're at the end, you feel like you're on top of the world. But you don't stop there - you find a harder challenge, then add a few more blocks to the series and keep drawing them before you. Set those goals, reach them, and try to beat them. Polish them until they shine, redo things and prove to them why you're the best. Only so many people can go past the halfway point, and the numbers get slimmer as the trail of squares goes on. It's like a pyramid, and there's ALWAYS one person who can go the furthest. I have the intent to be that one person, and these scraped knees aren't going to hold me back. I won't wait around for them to heal, nor will I want to look picture-perfect at the end of road. I would like to look identical to a war hero wearing dirty rags with scars all over, just to show how much toil I went through and how much more others in the past have."
Many wrestlers have the dream to walk an adventurous road to superstardom and when they reach the end, they believe that they could look like a wrestler who has gone through the biggest, the baddest, the toughest, the strongest and the trickiest. Many can claim that they are those, but only a wrestler can identify who is who once they've wrestled them all. Jesse wants to do exactly that.
"I've got the dedication to this ring that some have long lost years ago and I see no stopping. My heart beats stronger as the weeks pass by, my soul gets holier everytime I flirt with death - I'm starting to understand why people are addicted to this thing you call a sport, but to me it's like life. Some aren't in this for the money, nor are they in it for the fame. I'm in it for the industry, to try and keep it alive with new blood. I try to avoid the backstage politics as much as I can, but when they get too much for the federation, I have to force myself in there so that things like that stop happening in the future. Mercy's arrogance, ego and his kissing of Alex Redding's ass is all going to have to stop. I hate to play Superman here, but I'm going to have to save Lois Lane - otherwise known as the FWA - from Lex Luthor. And yeah... ummm... I'm still in my Clark Kent stage of my career. Just wait until I'm ready to step it up a notch."
