Jesse James Miller has never got this much attention before in his wrestling career, or in his life. Never before has he ever stepped up to the challenge to wrestle against one of wrestling's greats and he probably will be in for more than he bargained for. Although he is going into the pay per view as the underdog, he isn't afraid nor is he going to go in there with shaking knees. The butteflies in his stomach are non-existent, instead the stomach acid inside of him melted them and they're gone and unable to bother him. There are a few things that William Rodney Mercy probably doesn't understand about Jesse James Miller one of those things are that he is confident more than he is cocky. He's young, but not brash. He's able to respect the other man in the ring as much as it pains him. He can endure the trash talk and even counter attack when the time comes. William has a lot of years of experience in the ring while Jesse has very, very few. There is an intimidation factor going on, but Jesse won't let it get in his way. He isn't going to overcome that intimidation factor by pretending he's invulnerable, nor is he going to stand in an aging gym and let his frustrations out on an weathered punching bag hung by rusty chains - he's just going to train for this match like he does for every match: listen to his opponent's words, watch his opponent's actions and remain strong - even when he's depleted of energy.
Usually in the wrestling industry, the veteran gets one over the rookie for his arrogance and intrusion in the company. Jesse, however, isn't about the arrogance and doesn't have any intensions on getting in anybody's way. Quick on the trigger? Jesse? He's not your typical newbie in the ring, so if somebody like Seifer were to have aspirations of moving up the FWA ladder towards bigger things, Miller wouldn't butt his way in front of him and say "me first". Instead he'd kindly wait, wrestle on the cards and cross his fingers, hoping for his opportunity to come. Paying his dues, in other words. Mercy can jump to whatever conclusions he wants to and say he'll get the FWA championship before Jesse. Well? So be it, if that's how it's going to be, then that's how it's going to be. Jesse's still got a lot of learning in this business and he'll want to polish his wrestling talents way before he climbs at a pace he's not capable of. That's the mistake that a lot of wrestlers make, causing them to fall and plummet down below. If you know you're not ready, then don't go for it. Accepting every single opportunity that comes your way is just ludicrous. You have to ponder about those sort of things before firing the bullet through the limo at your target. Think of the consequences, think of how far you will fall and how high you have to climb. Donkey Kong is going to be rolling a lot of barrells down those girders - you can only jump over so many before you get tired. Best thing is to stay where you're at for a bit and when you notice things are looking good - go for it. Don't climb when you want to - climb when you need to.

The cameras open up backstage with Jesse James Miller and Gary Jones. Dressed in a suit, ready for FWA's big pay per view, Gary has a smile on his face. Jesse is dressed in some casual clothes such as jeans, a black dress-shirt and a white t-shirt underneath. Arms folded, he stares at the crew with a lot of focus and a stern look upon his face. Assuming this is an interview since Gary has a microphone in hand and is known for doing them, he speaks.
Gary Jones: "Good evening, Jesse. Legends ReBorn is about a week away and not only is it going to be one of the biggest events in Fans Wrestling Alliance history, but also one of the biggest events in the history of your career. Facing off against William Rodney Mercy, this match is touted as one that you stand pretty much no chance at all in. However, some people such as yourself could disagree with the label that's been slapped on it by some members of the internet wrestling community, people on wrestling forums who discuss what could be match of the night. Certainly Isabella Taylor and Jade Rayzor, as much as they believe they could steal the show, are going to have quite difficulty achieving that with you and Mercy finally squaring off against one another in the wrestling ring. For a couple of months, you and William have exchanged in a war of words. It all started when you stole that contract for a future Cain versus Mercy wrestling match, signed your name as the contestant, and got it approved by Katherine Sullivan. Ever since, William has been unhappy and even complained week-in and week-out about the match. Looking back, do you think you made the right choice?"
Jesse James Miller: "Looking back, I know that I made the right choice. When I started wrestling in 2006, people were very doubtful on myself and didn't think that I could amount to anything. Do you know how I broke into the business? Well, I was brought into the industry as a part of the infamous tag team named M00P. Starting out in PWT, we never last very long - maybe a week or two. Management and other wrestlers were obviously tired of us and they made a good choice by firing us. I came here last year with my brother, continuing with the M00P tag team, but it was two point-oh. We were annoying and shit, no doubt about it-uh. That never lasted long, either - and good thing, too. But the expectations were the same - people still were very doubtful on me and my partner. So fast forward eight or nine months, and you see my face again. This time I'm here with motivation as a singles wrestler, I believe that I have a future and can even stand a chance with these people. What did people think? They thought the same thing, doubting me and shaking their head at my idiocy. I matured - fast - and look at me now. I'm wrestling in the match before the main event with a wrestler who is no stranger to that spot. Weeks before that, I'm wrestling against other guys who are of the same caliber. What makes me laugh is that I haven't done a damn thing accomplishment wise to get there. The only thing I did was steal a contract and sign my name. So answering your question, I did make the right choice. As stupid as Alex or William may have though it was, it was a good move in my eyes and has helped elevate me to where I had aspirations of going. Suddenly... stealing doesn't seem so wrong after all."
Jesse laughs to himself.
Gary Jones: "Since you haven't actually acomplished anything in Fans Wrestling Alliance, title-wise, are there any titles in particular that you have hopes of winning after your match with Mercy is over with? Although you lost the contendership match against Superstar Joe for the Attitude title a couple of weeks ago, that probably doesn't want to keep you out of a division full of competition, does it?"
Jesse James Miller: "To be quite honest, I don't know if I'm ready for a title shot yet. I'm still learning, having no things to figure out in this sport and eventually work my way up. I don't know if guys like myself are exactly praised or respected for accomplishing big things so fast without some proper matches and seasoning. A guy who would just waltz in here and win a title is probably going to be among the most hated people backstage compared to a guy who worked his way towards that title for quite some time. Sure, I've been here for three months and proving myself worthy of doing such things - but I am totally unsure about such a thing. You probably don't understand, but it's how I look and percieve things. I don't want to be rushed to anything like that, so when I believe the time is right to aim for the gold - I'll go for it. As for now, it seems far too soon. I'm still breaking into the business, have more people to wrestle until I get a feel of things. There are many guys on the roster who are more worthy of getting a title shot than me, and losing against Joe that week was quite the eye-opener and made me realize that if I am going to wrestle against guys like him for a title - I stand no chance. Being part of a title division that is thriving with life and challenging wrestlers is great, that's one of the best things that a wrestling promotion such as FWA has to offer to anybody entering the company from somewhere else - but am I a challenge? Do you think I am? Do I have the look of somebody who puts fear into another wrestler? To be honest - I'm kind of down on myself when it comes to that. I don't think I have the assets to be one of those superstars just yet. Beating William Rodney Mercy at the pay per view could make that possible, but that's going to be a challenge. Hell, it might not even happen."
Shrugging his shoulders, he questions whether or not he can overcome the challenge that is William Rodney Mercy.
Gary Jones: "The outcome of the match is something you're eager and not-so-eager to find out. You're going into the match as the up-and-coming rookie who could have a huge future ahead of him in Fans Wrestling Alliance, and William Rodney Mercy is going in there as the pissed-off veteran who has a score to settle. You want to make a name for yourself and William wants to tear your apart. If you win, things for you in the future look prosperous and maybe even wishes have the ability to come true. If you lose, you'll probably lose some self-esteem, try harder in the ring against your opponents and even rethink your future in this company - or maybe, you'll accept the loss and move on with confidence, looking at that loss as a learning experience with a lot learned in the end. I must ask - how would you take the outcome of the match if you win or even lose?"
Jesse James Miller: "Winning this match is my main priority, I would hope for nothing better than to say I defeated William Rodney Mercy in the wrestling ring when I was starting out in this business. Of course a victory will have me grinning for ear to ear, celebrating the win wherever I go and even talking about the experience I had in that ring for ages and ages. I wouldn't be surprised if my future children and grandchildren were to be telling the story I told them to their friends. It's like those who wrestled Ric Flair - they're dreams came true, they had a great time and even had one of the best experiences of their life. Although he's overly cocky and isn't that much of a respectful athlete, the same pretty much applies for William. He might still be able to wrestle as good as he used to, but wrestling legends doesn't get any better than that. Winning would be the best thing to happen to me, I must say - that's why I made sure this match would happen at any costs. Losing would be a blow to my motive, feeling like an uppercut to my stomach, making me puke and lie in pain. But that's tough love, you learn from your mistakes. You're not always supposed to be fond of the lessons in life; they hurt, too. Losing will just make me try harder, actually. Winning will just put me on the map, losing means I probably have something else planned. I hope for the win, my fingers are crossed and I'm even carrying around my lucky rabbit foot just so I walk out the winner. Submitting or getting pinned will mean I have something full of protein to snack on after the match."
The cameras fade out.
