We open up with Scott Lake and Davidson, sitting outside of the Defiance, Ohio stadium where they're both dressed appropriate for the winter weather. Davidson is wearing a leather coat and jeans while Scott is wearing a parka and knitted mittens. Davidson's laughing at how ridiculous he looks, but that's besides the point and totally doesn't matter as far as this serious winter inteview right now. Let's roll.
Scott Lake: "Big Time Bang is right around the corner, Davidson, and you're facing TJ Bryce in a match that you've been waiting to be in for many, many months. He might not be the opponent in particular that you were wanting to face or go up against, but that's besides the point, because the match makes all the difference, as does what's on the line. The Reckless championship. You've held that title three times here in FWA, and you're hoping to win it for the fourth and final time. However, we've heard you say over the past week that if you were to win it, it would be brought back to life and put to use in W2K when you go there after here. In retrospect, with a touch of honesty, what are your thoughts and opinions on FWA? What do you think of this final event?"
Process of thought.
Davidson: "I've had more fun at summer camp than at this piece of shit farewell of a pay per view to the supposed best wrestling federation in the past three years. And hey, summer camp was the worst torture I've ever been through as a kid. You'd have to go swimming with people in a dirty, infested lake. Sleep in a cabin with about twelve individuals, six sets of bunkbeds. The person above or below you was prone to masterbating because they were at that age where they were curious. All I did at camp was shiver and shake, then hold in a crap for fourteen days. Even though FWA gives me the liberty to feel comfortable and crap anytime I want to, as well as pay for my hotel expenses, I'd rather be off hiking through a forest a dozen or so good miles out of town with bloody fly-bitten legs than wrestle another event for a run-down wrestling federation. Sad thing is, an old rotten cabin is more stable than this federation and it's even also had to deal with less people. It's a crying shame, but it's nothing that I could prevent - I've tried to help this place out, I've tried to lend them a helping hend and I've also tried to get them back on their feet by suggesting ideas that were way out there. But they wouldn't consider anything I said, and if they did? Maybe they could have survived, maybe they couldn't have. It's a bunch of things that lead to the downfall of Fans Wrestling Alliance, and one of those things wasn't me. Alex Redding and TJ Bryce could say what they want, but I've done as much as management have for FWA and I'm not even lying. As far as I'm concerned, Bryce shouldn't have an opinion on me since he hasn't personally looked at my history here other than seeing what I said last week, what Alex Redding said to me on Conflict 88, and tried to sum up my career here and everywhere from that. What he doesn't know about me, he'll learn at Big Time Bang. Now that sounds like a simple, pro-wrestler threat towards him but it's true and something he's going to find out for himself, even if he's in doubt. It will be a good learning experience for him, and if he decides to move on in the wrestling industry after FWA's closure, he'll go on with that information contained in his mind and understand that he doesn't know everything about everybody."
Scott agrees.
Scott Lake: "It sounds like you're quite angry towards FWA and the other superstars for not cooperating with you. I can't blame you for your opinion, because it's just that. My opinion differenciates from yorus, but nobody is always on the same page about certain topics or issues, and nobody ever will be - it's how battles are wage and wars begin. Clearly, you'll win the war against FWA since you're claiming it can't handle the heat and pressures of being a wrestling federation, so the doors are going to be shut. How do you think the industry would have been had FWA never, ever been around?"
Serious response ahead, folks.
Davidson: "If FWA was never, ever around then British Wrestling Alliance would probably still be going on and having a lot of success. But that also depends on if Marcus Williams fired me, too. I'm sure he would have hired me back in time and I would have enjoyed that, I would have even appreciated it. It's a shame that the BWA I've known has been long gone for two years, I can't wait to see FWA close it's fuckin' books and begone. Back then, people would compare the two, and easily believe that BWA would surpass FWA - but surprisingly, that wasn't so. Poor management in both wrestling federations towards the end is probably the blame, same as APW. Funny how I was in all three wrestling federations, too, huh? I must be a curse, a walking negative impulse of decision to some. Boy, I hope that W2K prepares itself for me - I might be the thing, the person, that kills off its fifteen or so year legacy. Should it be afraid? I'm not saying anything, but it should be well aware that I've got a tendency to turn the other cheek on almost everything, even when you might believe I favour something. The tears of the feable are worse than acid rain, they're weak and provide no nourishment for those that need to grow. And the thing with FWA, BWA and APW was that the weak roamed them all aimlessly. They never grew, they were dying from malnourishment and that's why they're where they are today... dead or dying. Dead or dying. W2K, it's still living, because that's where the strong are. And even though the strong have cried very little times in their lives, the one time they might have years ago, is still keeping it going. The fuel provides enough energy for their tree to grow strong, now they're running on fumes. That's still more than what this shithole ever could run off of. Suicide could never kill it, in its deathbed the plug would be pulled - it would be waking up the next day. I'm honored to be the Silver Bullet, but I'm not the one killing FWA with the smoking gun. I'm not to blame. FWA earned its worms, but it's getting no bite. It didn't cast out far enough. Too bad. It stood a girly chance, anyways."
Some prolly won't be too happy.
Scott Lake: "When it comes to the future, what do you want to change about yourself? Is there anything you want to add to your career, start doing more regularly, improve?"
Quit FWA, it's a bad habit like smoking.
Davidson: "I want to branch out in divisions I never have before. I want to be something I never was. I'd like to go back to the main-event scene, see how I could fare in that division in W2K. I haven't been in Wrestling 2000 for a good three years and I'm interested in seeing how much I've improved since I was last there. Some assume I'll do just as crappy, I just might. But I'll be optimistic and believe I can do better than anybody else. It's not arrogance, it's not cockiness nor conceit - it's belief. You need belief to succeed, and I haven't had any belief in ages, Scott. Without it, I'm as useless as an old oil rag. I want to add like a million title reigns to my career, I'm hellbent on making it happen. Not necessarily that much in quantity, but the quality of ever single title reign would make it seem pretty darn close and believe me about that. I'm going to improve on everything I can. Maybe I'll put the Reckless title to the side for a bit after my win, set my sight on something new. W2K is going to be a land full of opportunity and I'm interested in this new adventure. Now I'mma fuckoutta here."
Fade.
