He won the battle, but the war is far from over. Having a successful career in FWA, Davidson's run the sport of wrestling is looking up. He had a lot of fun in British Wrestling Alliance, staying there for roughly a year, wrestling some of his favourite opponents in his career and he had no regrets there whatsoever. In Fans Wrestling Alliance, he was dragging his feet some, a bit unhappy with himself but the federation gave him quite a bit and he ran with it and never dropped the ball. Two and a half years in FWA, he must say, he had quite the time there. But now it's time to move on and climb up the ladder where he was at formerly before those two, where he tried to stand out and break out, but failed worse than he could have ever imagined. Nobody would believe him that he was last here over three and a half years ago, but he was. W2K once used to be territory that Davidson wanted to roam through, but he was unhappy here. So, if that was so, why in the world is he back here and what does he think he'll prove this time around? We can't really tell you what, but he's got a hunch that maybe this time - just maybe - it will be different.
Opening up, we're with Davidson where he sits in a restaurant that's fairly empty minus a family and a couple truckers scattered through the place. Davidson's sitting in his own little corner, looking out of the window at the scenery. Even though it isn't much except the fading skyline and vehicle lights zooming by on the highway on- and off-ramps, he takes it for what it's worth since he never really has had time to himself in awhile. The hectic and busy life of travelling from home, work, home and work has got to stop. With the holidays coming, it's going to be worse for him, but after that he'll try to make life a little bit simpler. FWA was stressful for him, there was nothing worse than living in an area (or two) where you were unfamiliar with things and had to travel for miles to go somewhere you found exciting. No offense or anything to people who might live there, but Defiance didn't exactly have the most enthralling nightlife.
San Antonio. My, my. It's been quite some time, hasn't it? Davidson hasn't been this deep in Texas in years, but he's going to try to enjoy it this time. If anything, he might have more fun here than anywhere else. He can only hope so because if the road has taught him anything in chronological order: vXw was awesome, RRUW was miserable, BWA was awesome, W2K was miserable, BWA was awesome (again), FWA was miserable, retirement was awesome, FWA was miserable (again), APW was awesome, and who knew? FWA was (still) miserable. So W2K must be awesome this time around. We're obviously going to put this to the test, folks, and whatever comes out of it will be a sheer learning experience for Davidson.
Picking at his pancakes with his fork, Davidson completely slaughters it and lets the maple syrup soak into the insides of the food meant to eat during breakfast. He cuts out an uneven square and stabs it with his fork, soon putting it into his mouth to chew and swallow. Taking a swig from his bottle of Mountain Dew, he dries off the surroundings of his mouth using the sleeve of his dark brown corduroy jacket.
Davidson: "Do you know what feels better than being completely nourished and hydrated? Why, being the four-time Reckless champion! Now, the reason why I didn't introduce it as the Fans Wrestling Alliance Reckless championship was because that federation is done and over with, and since it's in my posession now, I can do whatever I want with this belt. Originally, this title came from some other place before FWA, so I doubt that they care the least bit. Besides, even if FWA had a problem with it, they wouldn't have let me walk away with the belt and Alex Redding wouldn't have blown himself up, either. I've had some joy in Fans Wrestling Alliance, I'm not going to lie. But that was years ago during my first Reckless title reign and towards the end of that, I was unhappy with my career there. Why I kept going back, I don't know, probably because I knew of nowhere else to go. But here I am, in W2K, and maybe I'll have some happiness here. So far, things are looking good. Granted, I haven't done anything yet but used meal priviliges and this meal for free, but that's not the point. The point is, I want to be a super awesome wrestler this time around and I don't want to have any difficult times in the squared circle. The last time I was in W2K, I never liked things one bit and it was stressful to get in that ring every single week to know that Devon Storm would ultimately demolish me. But who's the better wrestler now? Truth is, I honestly couldn't tell ya. Devon Storm has been missing forever, he missed a pay per view in FWA some months ago and nobody ever saw him since. I presume he went fishing on a canoe, got blown out to see and got lost in the Bremuda Triangle. How cool would that be? Imagine: me having lost to a guy that got lost in the Bremuda Triangle. In fact, that's going to be my belief of what happened to that fool."
Pulling out a notepad from his jacket pocket, he also grabs a pen in the same compartment and writes on a blank pages his belief of what happened to Devon Storm. He really wondered a lot about that guy for the past three and a half years, more than anybody. He was a little obsessive, made clay models out of him and broke them when they turned hard. He had a hatred for him that nobody would understand. Devon really did listen to Davidson's advice and that was to "get lost". Now nobody can find him. A bit harsh, wasn't he? The Mafia might have had some involvement, for all we know.
Davidson: "There are a boatload of wrestlers that I have the opportunity to wrestle here that I never have before. Ryan Cain, Lesmond, Nic E Dangerously, other people who haven't signed yet but someday will, and if he's not angry with me over things that happened elsewhere and really don't matter here, Cross. I know my chances of winning against them aren't high, but were they ever? I never stood a good chance against anybody, and I never did win all my matches. Around half of my wrestling career was based around failure of some sorts and I'm happy with that, I wasn't that kind of guy to piss and moan about things. Life is about learning lessons, and if it wasn't for losing matches, I wouldn't have learned half of the lessons I know in life now. So to those guys who won, where the fuck are you now? Seriously, almost all the people I went up against I don't see anymore. Them, too, the Bremuda Triangle? Again, that would be so cool. Now while I'm here, eating pancakes like mad, I suggest that the camera crew piss off for a bit. I just finished wrestling my first match in like a month. I'm tired."
Fade.
